What Is UBC VP Development And Alumni Engagement?

UBC VP Development And Alumni Engagement is a program of the University of British Columbia. The University of British Columbia is a public research university and it is located in the province of British Columbia, Canada. 

The UBC was established in the year 1908, and it is one of the prestigious universities all over the world. It has more than 50,000 students on its campus, and it provides a wide range of courses to its students.

The main purpose of establishing this institution was to provide higher education to the people of British Columbia. Before establishing UBC, two colleges were established in the province of British Columbia for higher education purposes.

But these two colleges did not have enough infrastructure and facilities for all students. They wanted to pursue their higher education.

So the government decided to establish a new college for all students that wanted to pursue higher education. This new college was named as University College of British Columbia in the year 1915 by the government of British Columbia. 

Later on, this university came to be known as the University of British Columbia. After obtaining its full degree-granting status under the Degree-Granting Act in 1920.

The main campus of this university is set up in Vancouver, which is also known as UBC Vancouver Campus. Whereas another campus named Okanagan Campus is located in Kelowna. 

Moreover, this university has more than 100 research institutes. That is situated all over Canada, and some other parts of the world. 

Almost one-third of all Canadian post-secondary research institutes are situated within a radius around Vancouver alone.
